9c. Savannah's Shadows: Reuse and Redemption - Matte Canvas, Stretched, 1.25"
Savannah's Shadows is a body of work from the recent "Savannah Streets" art exhibition in Savannah, Georgia.
These images are of local architectural details, painted over a collage of historic Savannah newspaper articles from the 1800 and 1900's.
This Sculpture of Atlas is hidden on a secluded lane, just waiting to be brought out into the open for all to see. I did so in this work, placing him in Forsyth Park under the glowing pathway lights.
The orginal artwork is a mosaic created from recycled car parts, cut into small pieces adn painted. It was the centerpiece of tis body of work in the exhibition.
